Luis Alvarado

I'm a native of Los Angeles, the eldest of 5 children, and a descendent of migrant parents from Latin America. I am married and have been a proud resident of Pico Rivera for over 14 years.

I was a product of public schools and attended West Los Angeles College before transferring to Cal State Los Angeles to study Political Science.

I have held positions of professional leadership responsibilities for over 15 years as a Security & Safety Director in both the hotel industry and in the beverage distribution industry. I've also held positions of internal and external consultant in Risk Management for various blue color industries in California. Most recently as a business entrepreneur I was the President of Estrella Insurance Services and a partner in L & D Catering.

Currently my professional endeavors include: serving as Managing Director of Latino Political Consulting LLC. (A political consulting group); Partner in C.O.R.E. (Communities Optimizing Resources & Education) a consulting Group in Los Angeles; and a Marketing Agent for Eldredge Insurance Services.

In my spare time, I'm an avid boater, golfer, and a certified BBQ Pit-Master.
