Fertility experts are warning men that if they plan to have children, they should ditch the tight pants.
Tight pants are likely to result in 2 1/2 times less fertile sperm, according to professor Allan Pacey.
The University of Sheffield academic said that the quality of men’s sperm significantly decreases past the age of 40, and that studies show children born to fathers above that age are more likely to have conditions like schizophrenia, autism and Down syndrome.
He also explained that a study of 2,500 men across the UK had found that wearing tight underwear was the “single biggest risk” factor for fertility, more than smoking or alcohol consumption.
