Democratic City Council President Herb Wesson’s son was getting “discounted rent” for years, while his father was helping the apartment executives secure approval of a 27-story residential tower “amid opposition from city staff and the planning commission.”
The Democrat councilman’s son, Herb Wesson III, went more than five years without a rent increase, while other tenants received regular increases.
Council President Herb Wesson should be investigated, prosecuted and removed from office for violating city ethics laws, which prohibit public officials from “using their power to create a private advantage or disadvantages, financial or otherwise, for any person.”
