According to ABC Fresno, Since 2005 the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection hid $3.66 million in wildfire settlements. The fund was managed by the California District Attorneys Association. According to the Los Angeles Times the CA District Attorneys Association took 3% of the money when it came in and 15% when Cal Fire pulled money out for training or equipment.
