When Donald Trump was asked to host Saturday Night Live, immigrant rights groups, including some California lawmakers protested and sent letters to the NBC. There was a lot of noise and cries of racism.

In the end, SNL’s overnight rating were 47 percent higher than the Miley/Hillary Clinton episode. It was the biggest overnight rating in four years.

To put these numbers in perspective, the Miley/Hillary episode delivered 6.3 million viewers, while the Trump episode garnered 10 million.
