Gulf Nations won’t accept Syrian refugees because of fear that accepting a large number of Syrian refugees would be a serious threat to the safety of its citizens because terrorists could hide themselves among civilians.

So while President Barack Obama continues to scold Republican legislative, congressional and Governors over their concerns and request for additional screenings and background checks of Syrian refugees, the super-wealthy Gulf nations of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain have refused to offer sanctuary to a single Syrian refugee.

As one of the most liberal states in the Union, this week, California Governor Jerry Brown asked the White House to provide more information about Syrian refugees settling in California.  Brown argued that the state should act as a “check” on federal vetting procedures.

We will see how President Obama responds to the Gulf Nations, Republican leadership and now California Governor Jerry Brown.
