According to a new assessment, results reveal that in the United States Latinos continue to increase their overall lifestyle quality. Compared to other demographics, Latinos as a whole, have the most substantial growth when it comes to categories such as: health, income, and education.
“Latinos overall saw their score in the American Human Development Index increase by 19.5 percent – from 3.84 to 4.59 – between 2005 and 2016, with men and women in the ethnic group each posting respective score increases of more than 20 percent over the decade.”
According to the assessment, the reason for the increase is due to more Latinos enrolling into education and attaining degrees. Unfortunately, Latino grades are still the lowest, but grades too have been increasing over the years.
“Their score increased by more than 45 percent between 2005 and 2016 in what the Measure of America report on the findings called “astonishing progress.”
An additional reason for the increase of lifestyle quality can be linked to Latino’s optimistic perspective of their futures. We hope this trend throughout the years continues to increase for the Latino population.
Why else do you think Latino’s are continuing to increase their health, income, and education in the United States? We would love to hear from you.
