Republican front-runner Donald Trump is largely unpopular among Hispanic voters with nearly three-quarters viewing him unfavorably, an AP-GfK poll has found on the eve of the third GOP debate in Colorado.

Only 11 percent saw him positively, according to the poll, challenging statements the billionaire presidential candidate made last week when he said Hispanics love him and that they have “fantastic relationships.”

“I think I will win with Hispanics when the word gets out,” Trump said after protests over NBC’s decision to invite him to host “Saturday Night Live” next month.
