Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, the anti-establishment candidates who both have tapped into the anger and energy of the electorate were big winners last night in New Hampshire.
On the election calendar is South Carolina and Nevada and then comes 30 states in the first 15 days of March. As Dan Balz from the Washington Post noted, next comes a series of Southern states on March 1 — and, by March 15, verdicts from big industrial or swing states such as Ohio, Florida and Michigan.
More importantly, New Hampshire delivered a tough personal blow to Hillary Clinton, who was defeated by 20 points and is likely to focus her energy to cut off Sanders in the upcoming states.
